Finally back in the craft room!! Seems my life just keeps getting more & more busy!! One of the girls from work got real sick & ended up in the hospital. So thought I'd make a get will card for her. I used this weeks sketch from Card patterns.

Well....here we are again...Sunday! Can't believe it!! Today's post is for Taylored Expressions sketch #122. I chose to do my Card this week with a Halloween theme. I have been seeing Christmas cards on blogs all over the place, but not much for Halloween. AND I love Halloween cards!!! I think they are truly my favorites!!

It's all summer looking with the cute butterflies SO I changed it up with Fall colors & bats!

I got a new paper pack this week at our local scrapbook store....Oh my gosh!!!! as soon as I saw it I fell in love!!!! :) it is called Halloween in Wonderland by Graphic 45!!!!! If you can.... you seriously need to RUN out & get some as I am sure it won't last long!! The card itself is PTI CS, the lace is from HL, The bats were punched with my MS punch, The back ground tag & the Happy Halloween was made using the Cricket.(dang I am thinking I want one of them now that I have had a chance to play with one) :( The sentiment is PTI. I believe that's it for that one!! I have an extremely busy day ahead of me...a very long to-do list so I better get to it!! Have a good one!!! Thanks for visiting!!!!

Shabby Tea room again!

Good Morning fellow bloggers! Welcome to the weekend!! I have been stalking the Shabby Tea Room again! I believe this is week 19 already!! As soon as I saw this weeks challenge I really wanted That wreath for my front door!!! Isn't it gorgeous? It is this weeks inspiration for the challenge "In the Garden" you can either make a card with a garden theme or use the colors. I ended up doing a little of each.

I have been trying & trying to learn this whole "shabby" thing....getting better but still not quite there :(

I made this card for my Mom's Birthday. You can't really see it the photo but this card has lots of sparkle!

The beautiful DP is DCWV. The butterflies are also cut from paper from the same stack. I made the pretty little pink velvet flower :) The gorgeous lace is from HL as well as all the pearls. The yellow ribbon is a piece from my stash. That's it!!! HEY!! by the way....does anyone have a link to a tutorial on how to make the shabby bows???? I am having such a time with that!! If ya do could you please leave me the link in the comments box PLEASE!!! I would really appreciate it!! :)

I just fell in love with this paper as soon as I saw it! It's from Jillibean soup. Love their papers!!!!.

The brown paper is from PTI & the button a ribbon are just scraps from my stash. That's it!! Now I am off to play with my scrappy friend Dawns Circut!! woot woot!! I have never used one so she was sweet enough to loan me hers out to me for the weekend.....to be continued :) TTFN!!!!

Christmas in July

It is another hot one here in Arizona! Uff-Daa!!! So I thought I would make another Christmas card to cool me off a bit :) This is another for Just Rite Stamps and also for The Shabby Tea Room Both are having Christmas in July Challenges this week.

I love to use black velvet paper for Christmas cards! I used one of last years JRS Christmas sets for my image. Colored with Copics, also used: ribbon & lace from my stash, MS snowflake punch, Button is PTI, Spellbinders & cuttle bug embossing folder. Wow a Christmas card when it is 115 degrees outside! LOL!!! This is a card I made for Justrite Stamps Christmas in July challenge #27. A really quick & easy one. I love this set as it has a little bit of something for each holiday! My Friend Marge gave me the little Dolli wich is a Martha Stewart product. Also used Snowflake cuttlebug embossing folder some red ribbon from my stash another MS punch, PTI craft paper & a little stickles to finish it off. This is my card:

Hap hap happy Saturday!!! Long long time since my last post :( I have been having other summertime fun. Vacation to San Diego, Company, 4th of July...etc. Today it is about 115 degrees outside so I figure I would just spend my day right here in my Craft room....I missed all my "stuff" I have missed blog hopping around too. For my first project today I made a little house warming card for my daughter Angie as she just moved into a new place.

I used sketch #175 from CPS

Angie has 2 dogs & 2 cats so I figured the sentiment on this card was perfect!

I love this little set! It's from Impression Obsession. CS & ribbon is PTI, DP is Fly a Kite from October Afternoon. The image was colored with copics. That's it! pretty simple but to the point! Thanks for visiting!!

Sitting here wondering where the weekend went??? I was so stinkin' busy!! I was able to get into the craft room for a bit to do a quick card a friends Birthday. I used card patterns sketch # 70 for my inspiration.

I have been making grunge flowers again! so much fun to!! Card stock is from Stampin up. The gorgeous DP is "Heartstrings" by the Pastiche Collection. love love this paper collection! The ribbon & pearls are scraps from my stash & the flower is hand made by me using Nesties, an old book & glimmer mist. :) You can't really tell by the picture but the flower & the butterflys are all glittery.....acually very pretty!

I got this new stamp set this past weekend & as soon as I saw it I just HAD to have it!!!! Love every piece of this set!!! It is Star Spangled Celebration from the craft lounge. SO much USA goodness :)

Most everything else for this card was made with scrap stash I had laying around just begging to be used.

Oh the window is a separate stamp & that is from Taylored Expressions. Well I said quick & that's it ....gotta get off to work....make more money....buy more stamps & crafty stuff!!!! :)

I chose to do really quick & easy....I just love this paper from my little We are Memory Keepers pad. Such bright summer colors! The bird houses are PTI , colored with copics. The ribbon is from my stash & the green paper is SU. The tiny little bees & the bee happy are from a set by Niki Sivilis. That's it! super duper easy!!!! I could make a ton of cards with this sketch!! I'll have to keep this one on hand. Thanks for popping in!!

Greetings from Arizona! I have a card to share with you today that celebrates Fun in the sun... It is this weeks challenge in the Shabby Tea Room & also I Want to Ride My Bicycle Challenge over at the Moxie Fab World.
So get out your bike stamps & lets celebrate summer!!
I try to ride my bike nearly every day, specially in the early morning, just after sunrise when the air is fresh, the birds are singing and the sun is shining......aaaaahhhhhhh.....I truly do "enjoy the ride" !!!!! :)

This is my sunny card:

The paper is from a tiny little 4x6 paper pad by We R Memory Keepers called 72 & sunny....so stinking cute!!! The Bike is from PTI, Button Bits, Buttons are PTI colored with copics. I used a little stickles for the sun & the fringes on the handles. Just makes me want to go jump on my bike :) As always....I really appreciate your visit!

Back again with another really quick card. This one is for Sentimental Sundays challenge. The theme is to simply make a summer card with a sentiment. What says summer more then a tire swing!!

I remember my sister & I playing on ours for hours on those carefree, childhood ,summer days!

Very quick & easy!! This card combines 3 different company's stamps. PTI, the branch. Technique Tuesday the pink flowers, The Tire swing & sentiment are Impression Obsession. The CS is also PTI. WOW! where did the weekend go! Sunday already...busy, busy, busy. Feeling a little better getting a few things crossed off my to-do list. The big, big one being that I have my dads card & gift ready to go in the mail tomorrow!!!!! WOOTY WOOT WOOT!!! I always struggle with what to get him & then....a GUY card...ugh! My dad collects all things route 66 which is where the theme for his card came from along with the help of this weeks sketch from Taylored Expressions.

what do ya think?? not bad for a guy card :) the CS is PTI, the truck stamp is print works colored with copics, SU punch, CB folder, the little route 66 signs were cut from a piece of SB paper I got at Hobby Lobby it just had road signs all over it & sorry not sure what the company is. FATHER sentiment is PTI.White colored pencils to make the road. WHEW!! so glad that's done!!! Thanks for today's visit!!

I can't wait until this weekend to try & make some of my own!!

Good day all! it is hot hot hot here still!! lows at night in the 80's...so what else to do...CRAFT!!!!! :) Every year my husband watches the WHOLE US open golf tournament...I mean takes Thursday & Friday off work so he doesn't miss anything! It is always on fathers day weekend & when his dad was alive he would watch with him every year & now watches with our son & even the girls (pretend) to watch & be excited about it....just for him :)

So I used Taylored Expressions Friday sketch to create just the perfect card for him. This is the sketch:

Hearts in the Tea Room

Happy Friday!!! It is going to hot hot hot this weekend here is sunny Arizona, 110 degrees! YIKES!! Beautiful in the early morning though...I went for a bike ride this morning for about an hour...just gorgeous!
I made this card a couple of days ago & have been contemplating posting it. This is my first time making a card for the shabby tea room & it is a bit intimidating...you see I love the look of all the vintage/shabby chic stuff but not really sure how to achieve the look I love so much!! The challenge this week is to create a card or project using hearts. Sounds easy enough right?? Not so much lol!!!

Needs something....any suggestions??? The hearts I cut with a little cuttlebug die & glittered with MS glitter, the pretty paper is Melissa Francis...I added touches of MS glitter here & there. CS is PTI. The little roses are from my local SC store...also glittered. The sentiment is PTI.

Also used: EK success border punch, cuttlebug embossing folder & ric rac from my shash.
That's it for this one & now on to the next project!! oh sooooo much paper & so little time!!! LOL!!

JURY DUITY DAY :P

Greetings fellow bloggers! I am waiting to go to Jury duty this AM so I have a little time to post a card I made this weekend. My card is for 2 different Challenges. 1) OCC challenged us
to make a card using texture & only black & white. 2) Just Us Girls challenged us to make a card using dry embossing.

So much texture & dimensional goodness!! For my Dry embossing I used my old standby cuttlebug swiss dots. all paper & DP is PTI. I used Marvy mega flower punch (doctored up a bit) for my flower. Just free hand cut the leaves & used SU scallop punch (doctored that a bit too) for the bottom layers. I love how fun & easy this was to make!! Here is a different view.

Happy Memorial Day everyone!! It is nearly over....7:30 pm here at the time of my post. All company is gone, everything all cleaned up, nice long weekend coming to a close. Well here we are again...Just another Saturday night!! Watching Baseball, basketball & Hockey on Stevie the TV with my husband. While he is flipping channels I decided to post this card I made today :) I am playing along with The Happily Ever Crafter challenge again this time. For this challenge we are simply to make a card or project using the color Red, orange, and or yellow. I chose red & yellow. Greetings fellow bloggers! I found the MOST challenging challenge!! Thanks to my BBGF Marge...Thanks Marge!! :) The Challenge is from the blog Happily ever Crafter

You will have to go check it out for yourself to get your challenge as they are not all the same ;) my challenge was to make a card using...a tree, some ric rac, purple paper and some stitching!! see...cool & very challenging right! I am not exactly in love with my card but it was a blast trying to figure it out.

This is my silly little card:

I know, I know...from a design stand point I am sure their are a bazillion things wrong with it! The only ric rac I had that even sort of went with purple was this rasb. fiz I cut at Marge's house the other day using her new PTI Die. I really don't like stitching so I used this MS stitching rub-on....at least it matches LOL! Marge also gave me some of this scrap burlap that was out on my table (not yet put away) The Stamp is from stamps by Judith. The little brads have been in my stash for a long time. All paper & other stamps are PTI. That's it for this one! If you get the chance you should check it out...I think it runs till the end of the month.

Well I have spent most of my day in the kitchen today & very little in the craft room. My daughter needed a cake for a bithday at work & asked for my help. Well .....I made the cake while she napped! Oh well I love to bake but I SHOULD NOT be eating stuff like that!!! :) SOOO I didn't mind at all. This is the most delicious cake! It is dark chocolate with peppermint butter cream frosting!!! YUMMO!!!! The recipe is from the book "The Cake Doctor" Instead of frosting decorations I made these little paper ones to stick on.....so cute!!!!

The paper is really really old from denami, punches are giga flower by marvy & scallop circle from SU. Stamp set I used is from PTI. The "40" was chippboard from my stash that was glittered with MS glitter. The sticks are "candy" sticks from Michaels. The fronts & back of the flowers are the same. That's it for today!!! Now that I have the kitchen all cleaned up....my craft room is in serious need of my attention!!!! Thanks for todays visit!!!

Greeting from Sunny, Hot Arizona!!! Sorry so long since my last post. Sometimes life just does not allow me to get in the craft room. Today's card is for my BBGF (Best Blog girlfriend) Marge. I am entering it in the Cute card Thursday challenge #112. The challenge is to make a card for someone special. I made this card & gift bag set for her...she is a very special friend!! She helped me set up my blog & always lets me know of all the cool, fun stuff going on in blog land!! She knows everything about all the latest & greatest products & always willing to share her knowledge!!! We got to have lunch together today & craft a little....I got to play with all her new PTI stuff !!!! SOOOOOOO fun!!! Except now I am going to have to order a bunch of stuff of my own!!! She is such an ENABLER!!!!

Card Patterns #62

Well here we are...Sunday again AND May!!! where is the time going?? Needed a card for my sister & today I used Card patterns sketch #62 for my inspiration. I haven't done a round card for a really long time. I was determined to make this card with no flowers or bows.....Seems EVERY card on EVERY blog has a flower of some kind on it! Now don't get me wrong, I love flowers!! I just really felt the need to be different today ;) this is the sketch:

No flowers. No Bows....just a lot of bling!!! The cute little stamp is from American art stamps. some of it paper pieced & some of it colored with copics. All the paper is PTI, the bling of all sizes is all just from my stash. Really pretty easy! I love my MS circle cutter. That is it for this weekend :( now I must go get ready for the busy week ahead. Cardvarks monocromatic Mothers day

Wow It has been such a loooong time!!! I just realized today that next Sunday is Mothers Day!!! YIKES!!!! I better get busy with the cards! I used Cardvarks monocromatic challenge for this ones inspiration. Kept it really really simple as time is NOT on my side today!!!

I used SU very vanilla paper as the base & then used it again, run through the cuttlebug for the front of my card. I glitterd all the high spots of the embossing. I used cream bias tape for the bow...this stuff is sooooo cheap at the Scrapbook store! Just pennies a yard. Used SU 1 3/4 circle punch with a JRS on Very vanilla again with a glittered Rose for my focal point. MS punch for the scallopd edge.

That's it for this one....very easy, very quick!! Feels good to back in the craft room again :) Now one to the next....have a good one!!!

VACATION!

I have been on vacation with my friends & family to Country Thunder! 5 days of fun & Country music....had a blast!!!! Now I am cleaning camper & house to get ready for work tomorrow. I will hopefully be back to the blog again this weekend. Until then I will leave you with a picture of my new hat & boots I got.

Compsoe a card challenge #8

Happy Saturday all my blogger friends! I am giving Becky's compose a card challenge a try again this week :) It is getting a little easier, but still a challenge for me. This is the deets for this weeks challenge:

This is what I came up with:

I went for the black & white polka dot dress....Like the dress I gathered/pleated the top of my card & added some shear netting to the bottom. I colored a piece of white ribbon green to match the green bow on the dress added a clear button with polka dot paper to show through. Added a little tag & that's that!! I even took my photo outside llike the photo of the little girl.

All paper is PTI as well as the greeting, ribbon & netting from Michaels, Clear buttons are from Taylored Expressions.

Can flowers be blue?

Happy Easter all my fellow bloggers!! We are having the most beautiful day here in Arizona :) I have been wanting to play along with Becky's Compose a card challenge. This challenge has challenged me beyond frustration!!! LOL!!! I have been working on it for 2 days! These are the deets to the chalenge:

this is what I ended up with.

Not ecactly sure of all the rules....hope it's ok to use punches & other things?? My papers today are PTI & cosmo cricket. Buttons are all PTI, flowers are made with various punches, mostly Marvy I think. My flower stem is actually made of black felt....something I picked up at CKC a while back. The flag is also black felt. The sentiment is PTI. OBVIOUSLY I need some serious practice with the old sewing machine! LOL!!

All & all, I have decided this one has been a good learning experience!!! Can't wait for the next!! :)

Now I better get outside & enjoy some of this weather!!

wow a mid-week post for me! I needed to make a card for my dads birthday. For me....that is a huge challenge in itself!!!! I needed some help so I chose this weeks 2 Sketches 4 you sketch as my inspiration.

Very simple I know but works it for a guy card :) I REALLY wanted to put a bow on it though :) The papers are PTI, The stamp set is TT from a card class we took a couple of years ago at CKC....forgot about it but really like it!!! I gave the tiny little birds just a spot of color with prisma color pencils...supposed to resemble a Robin??? The sentiment is PTI. The embossing folder is from SIZIX. The punches are both SU. That's it!!! Hope he likes it!!! Now better go finish the inside & get it in the mail!! See ya later in the week!!

This is my card:

All materials except the bottle caps are from Taylored Expressions. All of the CS, DP and ribbon are from a "Key ingredients" kit I got last summer from TE. The Image & sentiment I got at CHA from the TE booth! The little cupcakes in the bottle caps were punched out of the matching DP. clored with copics. That's it!! I kept it real simple cause I just LOVE this Jillibean paper!!!! Sentiment is from Inkadinkado, and the {} are from PTI. The white ribbon (which I also love) is from Michaels & the Rhinestones are from my stash.

Cardvarks lace challenge

Well here I am back again :) Spending the most beautiful, peaceful afternoon in my craft room. The flowers & my Crab tree are blooming right outside my open window. Don't you just love spring! I happen to see that Just rite stampers is this weeks sponsor for the weekly Cardvarks challenge. This week all you have to do is make a card with lace. How easy is that....If you have some lace. I found out I really didn't have much. I purchased this paper a while back for no other reason then I really liked it!! So I decided to make this little card with them.

Here is my card:

The paper is Graphic 45...this shows both sides of the DP. The lace is something old from my stash. The ribbon was tan but I colored it with Copics. Learned that in class yesterday. I love that it matches perfectly!!

The sentiment is from Just Rite Stamps. I punched it out with the SU 1 3/4" punch. Then punched out one of the cherrie baskets & stuck it in the center of a smashed bottle cap. I also colored the circle sentement white paper to match the DP a little better. That's it!!!!! Now I better get some work done around here...well maybe not! We'll see!!! thanks for the visit!

OCC Think Easter

It is the most beautiful Sunday morning here in Arizona! Went for a bike ride and enjoyed the fresh air & sunshine. Then into the craft room for a quick card. This one is a very quick little Easter card for the OCC Think Easter Challenge. Better get a few of these done as Easter will be here & gone before you know it!!

Here is my funny little card:

The pink paper is Pazzle, the yellow is PTI & the DP is Jillibean-soup, Ribbon is PTI. The staped image is JRS, colored with Copics. The feathers I have had forever & just never used. also used the SU scallop punch. I think that's about it for this one. Hope I get a bit more time in the craft room today. I have several April birthday cards to do as well as several Easter cards. Hey.... let me know if you come across any other fun challenges to help me along!! Have a good one!

Happy Saturday!! Just a quick post for this morning. I played around with Taylored Expressions Friday sketch yesterday and finally came up with a little something.

I love the bright colors of the American Crafts papers! The only stamping is the sentement by PTI, The flower is handmade by ME! You see...I have all this velum (I hate it & never use it) So my Friend Ilean taught me how to make these beautiful velum flowers....you can make them in any color, Just color first with Copics. After all the layers are punched & attached with a brad just spray with Glimmer Mist (I used pearl) and the layers will curl & seperate & puff up into a flower!! The trick is to LEAVE IT ALONE & let it do it's thing! Well I am off to a Copic class today, hope I can learn a thing or two!!

Finally got my other Birthday card done! For this one I chose Talyored Expressions sketch # 104 as my inspiration.

In keeping with the spring weather here in Arizona & chose these beautiful papers from Cosmo Cricket. Just so warm & sunny looking :) I followed the sketch to a T this time. The sentiment is from PTI, I used the SU scallop punch. I made the flower with a Large marvy punch that I punched 3 times & added creases with an old stylus & added the cute button I have had forever. Really loved ths sketch!!!

OCC Color Challenge

Wow!!! It's March & it is Sunday already! I have been just way to busy to post for over as month!!! The weather is gorgeous here so have been doing outside work. Planting flowers, washing windows, riding my new bike etc. My parents were here for a visit from Minnesota & now more company is on the way!! Need a couple of BD cards for this month so just HAD to get into the craft room...darn...;) I needed some inspiration so went to check out a couple of challenges for help. For the first card I needed a BD card for my FIL. YIKES!!! always a challenge to do a guy card :( Use the color challenge from OCC for this one. The funny thing is.... the colors really seemed pretty girly to me...so really made it a real challenge for me.

These are the colors:

As you can see I used just a tiny bit of pink...in the DP & for the heart on the colar. My FIL just got a new dog & it looks a bit like this one so that's why I chose this image from American art stamps.

This is my Card:

Brown & yellow paper is PTI, as well as the Balloon hearts, Dog Image, American art stamps, word stamp by Hanna stamps, DP is Cosmo Cricket. String is from Taylored Expression, Embossing folder from cuttlebug. That's it for this one pretty quick & simple. Now I am off to the office to catch up on some work. Need to get back in the craft room for one more birthday card...hope I can find the time!!

I have to tell you...I really loved this sketch! really something different for me :) The cute stamp is from a Christmas set by Taylored Expressions. Love that I can us it after Christmas! All the papers are from PTI. The Ribbon is also PTI, the stripes I made with scraps....I keep every little piece! The Charm is from Michaels...I am really loving using those! The "Love" I stamped with a set from TT. You can't see but I used a bit of stickles on the tiny birdy wings. that's it for this one, & that's it for this weekends crafting :( I am off to work 10 hour days for the next 4 days...my normal work week!

The cardstock is craft, cream & red from PTI. The image I got last year after Valentines day so wanted to be sure to use it this year. It is from Great Impressions. I colored my image with Copics. The phrases are from last years PTI set, Love songs.The little punched out hearts were done with a MS punch. I just used scraps of red paper as my background. Of course the large heart is a nestie. That is it!! soooo easy!!

Now time to get the brats on the grill...so they will be done before half time!! Be back again later!!

Hey! Happy super bowl Sunday!! I got up early today to work on a few challenges/Valentine cards. It seems like a long time since I was able to play in my craft room. So far I have 3 cards to share with you today :) I will only be posting one at a time....just the way I like to do it ;) This is my first one....a beautiful Wedding card for the Cardvarks "get published" challenge for CARDS Magazine. Now don't get me wrong...I don't expect to have this published, sooooo many other beauties!!! Just wanted to play along anyway!! I have been trying to step outside my box lately with some new patterned papers & different style & just not loving it...so today back to my same old plain & simple style...the style I feel most comfy with :)

The paper is from my stash...The stamp set is JRS (don't you just love it) loving the square ones!! I used black embossing powder & used a pink copic marker for a hit of pink in the heart. PTI black paper & my favorite michaels ribbon for the yummie bow!! My new blog friend Karylon has me hooked on charms now!! Enabler!!! The little heart charm I got at Michaels by blue moon. It is hard to see but I also added tiny pink rhinestones to my image. I hope you all get a chance to play along with this one!! No sketch or color combo...Just a wedding theme & your own imagination!!! I'll be back later with another post! :)

Happy weekend!!! I am finally feeling a bit better :) Planning on a crafty day. This AM working on a few challenges to get the old mojo cooking!! Then this afternoon I am going to be making candybar trees with my DD's for their BF's. I am planning on taking photos this time & get a tutorial up in the next few days. This is the perfect homemade valentine gift for the men in your life. Most love candy & it is not too girley. I made one for my son (18 at the time)a couple of years ago & he loved it!! Anyway....this is my first challenge card of the day. Unfortunatly it did not turn out exactly as planned (hate when that happens) but I am posting anyway! What the heck!

I'm back! and sick :( had a fantastic time at CHA & got lots of fun new stuff. I have not had a cold In forever & now I have the second in a month! So home from work today & pretty drugged up....so hope you can make sense of this post. I actually made a couple of cards when I got home on Sunday. This first one is for the CPS challenge #151.

So when I got home I also had a PTI package waiting for me. This card was made with 2 different PTI sets...daily designs & bird watching. Opps...actually 3 the tiny little bird is from the new set through the trees. The CS is also PTI the fun DP is from a cosmo Cricket pack I got at CHA. The ribbon is from Michaels. I colored the images with a combination of copic markers & prisma colored pencils Cracked open the old sew machine & did a little stitching & that's complete! Good morning all!!!! Quick little post today before I try AGAIN to get to CHA. We are driving to Claif. from AZ & you can not believe the weather!!! Wanted to leave yesterday but rain, flooding, Tornados & 60 mile an hour hour winds made travel just not a good idea. SO I spent the day yesterday at my friend Ileans house. She had this cute stamp that I just HAD to color :) The plan was to use this sketch from OCC

Sometimes things don't turn out as planned!! LOL!!! Well I guess sketches are meant to be just an inspiration for your card.....this is the end result! Love the little image but not really in love with the card :(

Unfortunatly I do not know what company that little stamp is from... I think she is so stinking cute though! The paper is from a paper pack from DCWV, colored with copics, used a couple of Marvey punches for the flower, & my new MS heart punch for the boarder...just covered up the heat part! makes it look like a totally different punch!!! LOVE THAT!! Well better pack up the car!! BE back Sunday!!!

I am not a quilter & I don't sew unless I really have to.... but I have been seeing a lot of faux quilting going on lately so this is my humble attempt to "faux quilt". Taylored Expressions Sketch #97

Time for another one of Taylored Expressions Friday sketches. I also did some stitching on my card which is this weeks challenge by JUST US GIRLS

This is my card:

I almost never use stitching on my cards.....mostly just too lazy ;0 Even with this stitching if you look closely you will see I used some rub-0ns. These are from the Martha Stewart collection. Super easy to use. All of the Papers, ink & stamps are PTI, I colored my image with copics, and use a flattened bottle cap that I punched a hole in the center with my giant crop-a-dial. Then I took a piece of ribbon from my Michael's stash & threaded it through & tied a pretty little bow. I think that about says it all for this one. Now time for football for the rest of today & tomorrow. Maybe I can color some images while I am watching :) Thank you for your visit!!

A pretty close case

Back again today with another finished challenge. This one I have been working on (in my head) since I saw this post by Dawn at Raspberry Suite. I Just love the color combo & I thought how stinkin' cute it would be to make a card that looked like that gift bag! This is my inspiration photo.

Well in the mean time

So for my post today I made a card in the shape of the gift bag with the same basic design.

this is my card:

R The tag is an almost exact case of Dawns Except I used a Labels nestie for the base & a different MS punch for the edge. Instead of buttons I used my new favorite little flower power punch & PTI Lt. yellow paper. I used some string I had in my scrap drawer that I colored brown with my Copics. The Happy Birthday is also from PTI. ***notice my perfect little bow on the tag*** I learned from Dawn's bow video. That's it for this one!! Thanks for today's visit!! See ya soon!I love how it turned out! It was a bit tedious to do but I haven't done one of those in long time. The card actually fits into a 4x9 1/2 envelope. I used Watercolor paper for a sturdy base. Then for the body of the bag I used winter white CS that I ran that through my sizzix with the diamond Sizzix embossing folder. I also ran a piece of PTI brown CS & a piece of PTI Lt. aqua CS through the embosser & cut out the little triangles & glued those on the Winter white to get the the blue brown effect like the original bag. Then took another piece of brown CS & taped tissue paper to the back & attached the yellow ribbon before adhering that to the card base.

Happy Friday all! I am still feeling a little punk but each day a little better :) Today I am sharing a card I made for Sharons Stamp Simply challenge The challenge is to simply use a heart or hearts on your card. I am sooooo into the clean & simple the days!
This is my card:

This is one of those cards that goes together is just a few minutes....gotta love those sometimes! I chose to make a thank you card & use the non-traditional pink/red/white that you always see with hearts. I got one of those new giga Martha Stewart punches....LOVE IT!! When I punched the PTI DP I did it on both sides & wrapped it around the back. Then tied a piece of scrap ribbon & hot glued this old heart button I have had forever & stamped It with a PTI heartfelt thanks stamp & that did it! Have you noticed there are sooo many fun challenges out there to play along with?? crazy!!! I hope to get back in the craft room this weekend & give some of them a try! Hope you all enjoy your weekend whatever you do.....Sorry to brag...can't help it!!! We here in Phoenix area of Arizona will be in the low 70's for the weekend!!!! JUST BEAUTIFUL!!!

I'm back! I've been in bed for the last few days with a really nasty virus!! haven't felt that bad in a very long time. Finally getting back to normal this evening :) Good enough to spend a little time in my crafty room. In between naps I did a bit of surfing and I'm SO EXCITED!!!!! did you see???? HAP HAP HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!! I am starting the year off just the way I like!! In my craft room of course :) Just playing along with some sketch challenges. These are my new favorite colors together :) Just make me feel happy! All the papers & stamp sets are from PTI. I colored my image with copics a while back & it has been in my "colored images drawer". The ribbon is actually 2 scrap pieces from my "scrap ribbon drawer". The black scallop circle is from my "scrap punch drawer" I think the only thing I cut new actually was the pick checked paper :) That's it...pretty fun!! now I need t0

WOW!! post #2 today!! I am supposed to be cleaning & taking Christmas stuff down but when I was doing my normal morning blog surf I noticed that I still had time to enter Taylored Expressions last sketch Challenge! Woot! Woot! It's been several weeks since I have had a chance to play along. I love this sketch! Ya know how some are just easier then others :)

I am excited to post this as it is my first attempt at the (new to me) edging technique I learned from my new crafty Friend Terri. If you check out her blog you will see how well she uses this technique. SO cool!! I love the result :) All papers for my card today are from PTI, The ribbon is from Michael's, I used my go to MS fence punch to make the little blue edge. I used a dollar stamp from Michael's to make the background on the yellow paper. Colored the picture & the rhinestones with copics. (I remembered this time Marge)!! Also used my favorite Nestie Lables on this card. Well that's it for this one! Now what I REALLY Want to do know is go back to my craft room...but I better try & get some work done around the house!! We shall see!!! :) what ever you do today....make it a good one!!!

Good Morning!! I actually have another card for you today!!! This is another of the many thank you cards I recently made. I love the colors I used with this one :) The weather is so beautiful here now....makes me just want to plant some flowers!!

All products used on this card are PTI except for the black bling in the centers of the flowers. Very, very quick & easy! I have the next several days off from work!! Very quick & easy! I love the bright color...nice change from all the Christmas cards :) The paper is PTI, stamped polka-dots PTI backgrounds with with white ink on the bottom. The ribbon is from Michael's. I Used a Marvy punch for the punched out flower, Outlined the flower with MS white marker. (love that thing) Used polka-dots PTI backgrounds on the inside punched circle. Used PTI Round about sayings for the thank you & a tiny flower punch for the center. That's it! really simple & quick!!!!! Well here I go... time to get ready for work! see ya soon!!!!

Finally, finally a day in my craft room :) SWEET!!!! I got 14 thank you cards done today!! I will only be posting 1 per post though. I always have a hard time when others post several cards in one post....my pea little brain doesn't know how to comment on those :( To each their own! So for today's card I am starting with this funny one for my children. The three of them all chipped in together & got me a new bike for my Birthday. It is one of the old fashioned looking ones...I think it is called a beach bike. Any way....it is light blue with a basket on the front. I just love it!!! I thought this thank you card would be perfect!

It's hard to tell in the picture, but I actually glittered the bike & the "rays of brightness" lol....just for giggles :) all the paper & the bike stamp are from PTI the "just what I always wanted" is from Hanna stamps. Very quick & easy. When you have a lot to do they need to be quick, & easy to mail. Can't believe tomorrow is Monday already! Oh well...another short week!!!! see Ya tomorrow!!!!

Another really, really quick one! As you can see I really got good use of my MS snowflake punches this year!! AND my PTI papers. This one seriously took about 2 minutes to make & extremely easy to make bunches of!!

Another really quick card and really quick post. I had the day off work yesterday & just stayed in the kitchen ALL day & baked! I have not done that in forever. All baking is done :) So I am doing pretty good as far as getting all the Christmas tasks done!! Hope you all are staying on task too!! :) This is another really simple Christmas card I sent out. Christmas card

WOW!! such a long time since my last post! To much holiday stuff to do! Made a few very quick & easy Christmas cards this year. I will be showing those over the next few days as well & some super cute Christmas & birthday cards I recieved in the mail.
For this first one I chose a long card because I have a bunch of this size envelopes to use up. ;) This card was extremely easy to mass produce :) all the papers are PTI. both snow flake punches are MS. I sprayed the center strip of CS with spray glue & covered it with MS glitter. Use my skor-it fo some intrest along the edges. That's about it...eeeaaasy!!

Happy Tuesday!! Just a quick post this AM before I head off to work. This card is for the Just us Girls challenge....the challenge was to simply make a card using dry embossing, which I JUST love by the way :)There was also a "twist" to it to make it a Birthday card. As you can tell I didn't use the "twist" Unfortunately I needed a Sympathy card for my Dear friend Ilean who just lost someone she was very close to. So wanted to send her some hugs!!! This is my card:

All paper & stamp set is PTI. I use a Cuttlebub Embossing folder , MS punch, Flowers & ribbon from my never ending stash & that's it!!! Very quick & easy & to the point!!

Hope you are all finalizing your Thanksgiving plans :) I for one have not!!! that is my project for this evening!! Make it a good one!!!!!

Christmas party invatation

Another busy weekend for me!! Can't believe it nearly over!! I needed to make the invitation for my work Christmas party this weekend. Finally got it done but then had a hard time with the photo as there is soooooo much glitter & sparkle!The photo truly does not give it justice! Also the background is stamped with soft pink show flakes as well as the center of the invite itself. Not sure if you double click on it if that will make it better or worse??? anyway.....here it is:

All of the paper & stamps & ink are PTI, the glitter is the prettiest iridescent gold that I got a couple of years at a stamp convention. I used MS punches for the snowflakes & SU big Sizzix die for the invite. The ribbon & all the bling is from Michaels. that is pretty much it! I really need to clean up my mess & get ready for the long week ahead....I am beginning to stress about Thanksgiving & all I need to do before then!!! YIKES!!! Thanks so much for today's visit!!

Made this really quick, clean & simple card yesterday. All paper & images are PTI. I added red Stickles to the center of each circle on the DP....just adds a little extra sparkle. I used a series of nesties & punches to showcase my little Christmas tree. That's it....took longer for the stickles to dry than to put the card together!! Well it is off to work for me. Greetings from beautiful,sunny Arizona!! Seems like I have been gone for a long time!! My job has been keeping me extra busy & that means very little time in the craft room for me! :( I completely missed blog hopping around to look at all your beautiful creations this past week. I am hoping this week will be a little less busy for me & I can actually sneak in a bit of fun!! Today I chose to create another Christmas card. This one using sketch #40 from the gals over at Card Patterns.

This one is a 5x5 finished size. all of the papers are PTI as well as the little snowman and the ribbon. The white fringe is from one of our local SB stores. I also used 2 different MS show flake punches & some silver show flake bling from Michael's. I used a couple of different sizes of nesties along with a 2 and a 1/4 inch scalloped punch & a 1 and 3/4 inch circle punch. Basicly that's it for this one. pretty easy! hope you are all enjoying what is left to the weekend!! see you in blog land!!

Wow!! tick tock tick tock....time is just flying!!! I can not believe another week is gone....poof! Hope you all had a fun Halloween...My youngest son turned 21 yesterday! So he celebrated with his friends yesterday & we are celebrating today with football & lots of food. Oh I do hope the Vikings can beat the packers today!!!
Anyway as most of you know I always try to squeak out a little weekend time to play along with Taylored Expressions Friday sketch I found a little time yesterday to create & a little time today to post....This is the fun sketch:

This is my card:

I ended up loving the pink & gray together...kind of a soft peaceful card. The pink paper is old SU & the gray is just one piece I had in my stash. The ribbon is from Michael's. I also used a cuttlebug folder, a MS punch, Nessties, an old Carla craft punch, & some silver bling also from Michael's. The Stamp set is Lasting impressions from Taylored expressions & as a finishing touch I paper pierced around the edge with a paper piercer & a 6x6 square template also from Taylored Expressions. That's it for this one! Time for me to get back to the kitchen....Chicken enchiladas are next up on the menu! enjoy the rest of your weekend!!! Here is my pretty little sparkling card:

I had a bunch of these glittered chipboard snow flakes left over from last year.....thought I would use one up as I just love them :) I used 2 different cuttlebug folders for texture, the bling is also something left over from last year. I punched the tiny snowflakes from white card stock & glittered them too & added pearls from the dollar bin at Michael's. The paper is from SU. I asked my friend if she thought it stupid to put roses on my snowflake....she said it's your card,you can do whatever you want! SO..I did!! ;) That's it for another TE sketch. Now to get around & visit all the other talented crafters who played along......to me it's like a blog hop without all the pressure! After all....that's why I like to do these challenges, You just never know who you will meet!!! :) Hi Terri!!!!

Hello Pumpkin TESC 87 TOP CROPS!

Greetings from sunny, hot Arizona! Fall is nowhere to be found here. Had to turn the air on again today! :( So the best thing to do is stay inside & play in my craft room while watching football with the family....sounds like fun huh!!! Most every week I like to play along with Taylors Friday sketch over at Taylored Expressions....always a good one! This week is no exception!!

This was so fun to make!! The cute little 3-D pumpkin was made with 9 scalloped circles. I used SU's scallop punch, folded them in half & stuck them together side to side. all the dot paper is PTI, the orange is DCWV, the green & black are SU. The top of the pumpkin was made with the tip of a nesties Label. The bling is from Michaels. So fun!! I love this sketch!! That is it for another crafty day!! have a fantastic week everyone!!! The cute little stamped image is from Just Rite Stamps, it was colored with Copics & cut out with circle nesties. All of the paper is from PTI,The snowflake was made with an old MS punch (always a fave) the ribbon is from Joann's. It is hard to see in the photo but the bottom circle is covered with MS white glitter. also used a little stickles on the snowmen & a little liquid applique sprinkled with glitter on on the hats & coats. That's it! pretty darn easy!! Hope you all have a little time to create today..(if you want to)...I am excited to be spending the day with my DD at the womens Expo!! So I will be back later today with another creation. So what ever you do....make it a good one! Thanks for today's visit!!!

Here I am again back with another card with TE sketch #86....I must say...I am really loving this sketch!! it is so easy to use! If you get a chance you should give it a try!

Same general design...but now it's a Halloween card! The papers are from a combo of SU & PTI, the DP is DCWV, the stamp set is Pti's Halloween tags set. The velvet spider webs are from our most recent CKC show, and so is the bling. Also used SU scallop punch & a spellbinders die. Very quick & easy & not to scary!! :) perfect for my little nephew who "doesn't the scary Halloween stuff". Well I gusess now I am going to have to call it a weekend! Tomorrow it is back to the real world of work, work, work!! Have a good one!!

Wow!!! can't believe it has been such a long time since my last post! The dental office I work at moved to a new location. New everything! including computer software :( It has been a real challenge but I am hoping the worst is over & things can get back to somewhat normal, whatever that is...LOL!!! It has seriously been weeks since I have even set foot in my craft room!! In order to get the Old mojo moving I chose Taylor's sketch #86 as my first project.

The weather has finally cooled here a bit (Ya HOOOO) so I chose these cute little snowmen for my first subjects. I think they are so cute! they are from Just rite stamps. I was so happy to see some JRS at out local CKC convention this year...I did get to take a day and attend a couple of weeks ago & have been itching to use some of my new stuff!! :) All papers are from SU. I used the snowflake folder from cuttlebug, the felt snowflakes were another CKC purchase, Ribbon is PTI, and the Rhinestones are from Michaels. I also used the SU scallop punch, some nesties, stickles & copic markers. That's it for this one....had so much fun....think I will do another!!! Hope you all are having a fantastic weekend...I have missed visiting....hope to get to that later this evening!!!! See you back real soon!!

Here is a quick & simple card for you today. I am soooo ready for fall...it is still so hot here! around 100 everyday :(

For today's card all products used are PTI. I just added the stripes to the swiss dot paper. Colored the image with Copics.

That's it! Really Easy!!!!

My brain is fried! We have new computer software at work so been training all week:(

Happy Saturday all!!! I certainly did not expect to be back in the craft room again today!! After spending sooooo much time in here last weekend doing the 13 challenges for SSE. But here I am with another Friday sketch from Taylored Expressions.

This is one of those cards that is soooooo far from what I intended!! Does that ever happen to you?? I am liking the end result ...OK....not great! I ended up changing the sketch a little & as far as the colors go.....Seems the trend in Christmas cards this year is anything but red & green...have you noticed that?? So this might pass for one...not so sure! anyway... the paper & the stamp set is PTI, the ribbon is Michaels & I used 2 different cuttlebug folders & 2 different nesties. The rose is from the Scrapbook barn & the leaf punch is carla craft. Well that's it for this one! I need to go clean a bit now & get ready for the big opening day for football tomorrow!!! All my kids are coming for food & the game (Go Vikings)!!! I wish the temp's would follow the rest of the world & cool down a little!!! Still over 100 every day!!!!

Wow!!! I actually did it!!! All 13 TB Birthday Bash Challenges!!! Woot! Woot!! This last one was hosted by LaurieYou can see her card & Post here.Her challenge was to create a card using some kind of distressing...well this is the best I could do! I just can not force myself to rip or tear my paper in any way! LOL!!! Those of you that know me know this to be true :) So my distressing was just done by inking all the paper edges in brown. I also combined this challenge with this weeks 2SFY sketch.

The orange paper is SU, the DP is DCWV, the scarecrow is another digi stamp from DZ doodles. the ribbon is from Michaels & the buttons are also SU. I also use the pumpkin cuttle bug embossing folder. This was another real challenge for me! This is my third attempt! That is why is it is so simple! Just could not get the combo to come together! I believe all the papers are PTI. as well as the stamp set. I Used an ES success punch to make the flowers. That's really about it! REALLY simple! I believe the papers are PTI for this one as well as the ribbon. The little roses I got at our local Scrapbook Barn. The pearls are from Michaels, The stamp is Scrappy Cat. I also used an EK success punch & a little stickles. That's it for #10 I think it turned out kind of pretty! That's about as shabby Chic as I can get! LOL!!! Well here I go again...off to do # 11. I decided to do a non-card this time. My BBGF Marge gave me a bunch of coffee tins a while back so decided to use one of those to alter.

this is my project using buttons:

The paper I used was last years MS. The buttons are SU The ribbon & the Happy Halloween are PTI. The handle is made from that stuff you can buy at the party store...it is wire covered with silver stars. This was a real quick & easy project! Hope you like it!! now off I go to work on #9. I really liked this sketch! All the paper for this card is PTI except for the vanilla & that is SU. The stamp set is also PTI, the ribbon is from Michaels. I also used my go to punch from MS (fence) & also an EK success for the bottom border. I used the tweed cuttle bug embossing folder for the square behind the tree. That's it!! I just loved all the colors & the dots in her photo! kind of had a 70's feel to me. The good thing about all these challenges is I am #1 replenishing my stash of cards on hand AND #2 I am using up some of my stash!! I seriously have had this DP & chipboard flower for a very long time! Well that's it for this one...time to clean up my mess a bit & go see what my hubby is doing. See ya tomorrow for the last 7!

OK here we go with #5!!! this challenge was from Dawn & was to make a card using paper tole. you can see her challenge & her darling card here.

I have never done paper tole before & this card took a very loooong time to make. It does not really look very "stacked up" probably because I did not use pop dots just glued 3 layers on to the original image. The pop dots that I have just seemed too thick & I did not like it. So this is my finished card:

I think it turned out pretty cute! The cute little snowman is another digi stamp from DZ Doodles. I colored & cut him 4 times. The cuttle bug snowflake embossed paper is also glittered. I just used a glue pen & white MS glitter. The felt ribbon is from Michaels. Also used round & labels nesties. I just edged all paper with my pink copic so all would match. That't it!!! Now on to number 6!!!

Those little pumpkins bunched together & the polka dots are what caught my eye in her photo. This is the card I came up with:

The pumpkin stamp is from Just Rite Stamps. Orange paper is from SU the yellow is from PTI, it already had the white dots on it & I stamped the brown dots over with a PTI stamp. The ribbon is from Michaels. That's it!! super easy!! But so bright & cheerful!! :)

The beautiful paper I got last year from SEI at out local CKC. I just love their papers!! The cute little bird house is another Digi stamp from DZ Doodles The Merry Christmas is from PTI & the ribbon is from Michaels. I colored with Copics & used a little stickles for sparkle on the greens & bow. Also use the swiss dots embossing folder from cuttle Bug. Will I ever get tired of that?? don't think so!!

this is my card:

all the paper for this card came from a paper craft kit offered at the Taylored expressions store. The stamp set is Whimsical wishes also from Taylored expressions. I paper pieced the cup cake & the cake plate. then drew around it with a light grey copic maker just to give it some dimension. The rick rack I believe is from Michaels. That's it!!! super easy!! well now I am off the the next one!!

Hey I'm Back!!! I had a fabulous vacation to the Midwest!! loved seeing my family!! Now I am back to my craft room making the biggest mess you have ever seen!!! See I am trying to complete the 13 challenges that Stamp A Sweet Impression.

The stamp on this one is another DIGI one I was playing with before I left for vacation. Love it!! I believe all the paper used is Stampin UP. The green paper I stamped with a flower from Scrappy cat I got on sale at Michaels a while ago. used Copics to color (still working on that technique) Ribbon is from Michaels, also use nesties & SU corner punch & a Fiscars border punch. Well that is it for this one!! I have losts to do if I am going to get this all in! Guess that is why they call them challenges huh??? ;)

I discovered Digi Stamps!

Wow is it Sunday already?? well I have had a very busy weekend!! Between the many hours I have spent on Photo shop Elements classes this weekend....I also discovered DIGI STAMPS!!! Now I know this is not a new concept BUT WOW!! & OH MY GOSH!!!! How cool! I found this (new to me) company though PCP called DZ Doodles. You just go to the website, choose one of the many super cute images, pay 3 bucks per image (no shipping! no tax!) And poof!!! like magic it is in your e-mail box in a matter of minutes!! You can print the image as many times as you want, any size, you can even print a mirror image if you want!!! SOOOO COOOL!!!!! I love that you don't have to wait for the snail mail! They take up no space in my already too full craft room AND you don't have to order a whole set of stamps when you just want 1 or 2 :) I have a couple of cards to show.... using 2 of the many images that I have been playing with this weekend.
For this first card I used this funny old Lady! Both cards are really simple...using the sketch from Clean & simple stamping. A really quick card! but cute I think!!

The second card is same simple lay out With this darling apron!!! I just love this!!! I wish I had a real one just like it LOL!!! The reason both images are colored pink is for the Copic color challenge....you have to use pink Or red & hearts. These images are perfect for coloring with copics! I was wondering about the printer ink running but it did not seem to!! :)

Taylored Expressions Friday cupcake Challenge

Another post for today!! when it is so hot....not much else to do ;) So I thought I would make a card with Taylored Expressions Friday Sketch.

This is my Card, I flipped the sketch on it's side this time:

I tried & tried to use 2 or 3 different patterned papers & I just could not make it happen! Man I just find that sooooo stinkin' difficult!! I actually made this for one of the gals at work who is freaking out about her DD going off to college...been there done that & it is HARD!!!

The DP is from a DCWV paper pack. The watering can is Just Rite Stamps, The saying is from TE 's Faith & hope set. Actually thought they went great together!! Lucked out again!!! LOL!!! Used the Swiss dot embossing folder in the center only & sponged orange SU ink on it around the edges. The ribbon is from Michael's, & the other papers are PTI. Oh & as you can see, I used a couple different nesties!

Well here we are......Saturday again!!! time is just a flying by!!! I am loving the new Saturday sketch blog I found! I decided to participate again this week:)

I really like the way this turned out!! And I sure am enjoying my new Just Rite Stamps. They are giving me a chance to practice my Copic coloring:) The red paper here is from PTI & the DP is another piece from my never ending supply of DCWV. The white ribbon is from Michael's & the button is from my stash. I used one of my all time favorite punches from MS...IE: the little red fence. I think it looks so cute in front of the apples. I am so glad I had this "thanks a bunch"

Stamp from Hanna Stamps...I just curved it a little & it fit perfect over the apples!! Don't you just love it when that happens!!! Tee Hee Hee!!!!

The DP is from a HUGE paper pack of fall papers I got last year by DCWV on clearance at Joann's. I will never in a million years use even 1/2 of it!! LOL!! The button & the tiny "thanks" are PTI. I just added glitter to the center of the button to match the glittered centers of the flowers. The ribbon (love that) & the little orange dots are from Michael's. I colored the image with copics.

I usually have Fridays off but have to work tomorrow...No crafty fun for me!! :( I AM going to the Toby Kieth concert tomorrow night with my husband, kids & their dates!! So I will be back for some weekend crafting on Saturday!! hope you have a fantastic day!!!

Card Patterns Sketch and a copic challenge

OK now...for my second post today..I again combined 2 challenges the first is a wonderful sketch from Card patterns that I unfortunately did not do justice to :( combined with a copic challenge #9, learning to color eyes. They even allowed me to download this digi image to practice on. OBVIOUSLY I need a lot more practice...but I am learning ;)

This is the sketch: This is my attempt at coloring eyes, & my card for the sketch: The card ended up being very simple...I have such a problem with the copics running together?? guess I will have to practice a bit more...for any of you new to copics this site has some fabulous tutorials!!!

For the Materials I used today...

DP is from SU

Yellow paper I did not have so just colored some white with yellow copics! :) did the same thing with the yellow flower (that's one way to get your stuff to match) :)

The button is from my stash. That's it! really simple!!

I am so glad for the challenges I come across!!! The more I learn the more I want to learn!

A Sketch & a Color inspiration

Crafting my Saturday away!!! I had fun shopping with my Son yesterday afternoon & my Girls last night. Got my house cleaned & my hair done yesterday so I get to be crafty today! Too bad my mojo is not cooperating!! I made a card using 2 different challenges first one being TE CC Friday #71 sketch combined with Lauren Meaders color inspiration challenge.

This is the inspiration for the colors:This is the Sketch:And this is my card: I love the colors! they are so bright & It just says summer time to me!! The supplies are from all over the place! Blue paper: SU, Raspberry paper: PTI, polka-dot paper: TE cupcake pack, Stamps: PTI, Buttons: from my stash...had to color a white one blue as I did not have a blue one. Ribbon is also from TE cupcake pack. That's it pretty simple. Now I need to finish up another card I have also been working on today & the clean my room!! It is a disaster area!!!

It's Friday again!! Woot! Woot!! Where did the week go?? I have been working on this card a little each evening after work this week. I am not much for using Copics yet...Just learning. The reason for the card is #1 This isfor my mom.... she will be celebrating her 70th BD in a few days!! & this is also my entery to win some Copics with this random draw!! WOW!!! check it out!

My good friend Ilean loaned me all the stamps for this card...she took a class & then shared what she learned with me!! Thanks Ilean!!! :) The stamps are Holly Berry House, The paper is SU (I think) The flowers & leaves were colored with Copics. I think you still have a couple of days left to enter...so why not!!

Card Patterns Sketch #26 Card patterns super six winner!

Hello fellow bloggers!! Hope you are having a fantabulous week end!!! I had the opportunity to go to my BBGF Marge's house yesterday with my other friend Ilean & play with stamps all day!!! It was so fun & as always learned so much from these 2 ultra talented ladies!(I'll share some of that stuff later)I also came across a new challenge blog yesterday called card patterns That has Saturday sketches!!!! This is great thing..... for those of us that work during the week! The sketch is fantastic & really caught my eye! I used it nearly exactly as is & love the result!! Those of you that know me...;) know how much I complain about my inability to match patterned paper!! The PTI site has some fabulous ideas for doing just that!! One of the designers, Becky Oehlers made this amazing card
I loved her use of papers soooo much that I chose her same combo on my card today:

All products are PTI, except the buttons are SU...I really like how this card turned out. Personally I never in a hundred years would have thought to put these papers together!!! Guess that is why she is a designer and I am not!! LOL!!!

Raspberry suite color challenge #13

Another beautiful color challenge from Raspberry Suite! I really like this one!! Did not think I would actually have time for this one ...but I chose to do a really quick & easy one!

This is my card!

I used just white card stock with the new button stamp...don't you just love that set! I used my nesties to draw my square to frame the flowers (a tip from Nichole). That's it!! really quick & easy!! have a good evening!!! I am off to visit my Daughters new home! Thanks for visiting!!!
